Affiliate Reflections

So the tournament season for Virginia wrapped up on Satruday at Western Albermarle High school in Crozet. Over 100 teams represented the seven different regions across the state. Each team presented amazing solutions to their challenges!  Thirty-three teams will be advancing on to Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee to represent the Virginia Affiliate.

Everyone was so happy to be there and the competition ran really smoothly. The crew saw several amazing teams in Challenge E: “Breaking DI News“, Challenge D: “Do or DI”, and Challenge C: “You’re Gonna Flip.” I was completely blown away by a middle level team in Challenge B. Their Shakespearean robot was astounding. The University level teams were fantastic to watch as well!

Production for the film will continue through Global Finals  and will wrap filming in June. During the summer, I will be working hard on editing together the film and pushing for early September to be the finish line.

From here till Globals, I will be making weekly posts about Globals and posting recap videos of the Regional and Affiliate tournaments. So check back often!

Affiliate Tournament

With the Affiliate Tournament in less than two weeks, we are gearing up for the performances. During the day, we will be observing mostly three teams; however, let us know about your team! We would like to record more Challenge A and Challenge B teams.
